EMATS Inc. has awarded a $7,500.00 mini-grant to Castlewood High School located in Southwest Virginia in effort to support educational initiatives for the 2006-2007 school year. This year marked the first time Castlewood High School was a participant. We offer the opportunity to participate in the grants to 7 high schools within the states we live and work in
Lebanon High School received the funds necessary to purchase 2 smart boards for their school and marked a total of $7500.00 mini-Grant committed to them for the 2006-2007 school year.
We established the donations through a Mini-Grant program in 2003 to support local high schools in areas where EMATS has significant business ventures. Since implementing its program, EMATS has contributed more than $100,000 to schools in Virginia, Michigan and Wyoming.
“It’s extremely important for us to support our local schools as much as possible,” said Jon Bowerbank, founder, president and CEO of EMATS. “We are privileged to have an opportunity to make a positive impact on the learning experience of so many students.”
